The international activities of the IAE revolve around 4main guiding factors:
A Pedagogy Adapted to Student Needs
The international dimension to MASTERs' degrees has, for several years, been integrated into different IAE courses; an International Management cross-curricular module is part and parcel of the MASTER's Company Administration. In addition to the policy of lecturer exchange, the IAE proposes one or more professional seminars abroad to candidates in certain Master's programmes. Students preparing the MASTER's in Commercial Marketing and Practice travel to Prague, Atlanta and Valencia; those preparing the MASTER's Human Resources travel to Canada, the Netherlands and Russia.
Visits by Foreign Students and Lecturers
MBA students from IAE partner establishments regularly come to pursue courses in Paris - for example: Atlanta (USA), Valencia (Spain). In addition, it is IAE policy to welcome French-speaking students from all over the world - especially such students with degrees or diplomas from partner Universities or Institutes of Higher Education. The progressive adoption of MBA foundation courses in English will commence at the beginning of the 2005-2006 academic year with a view of catering for students who do not speak French. Finally, grants (Bourses Eiffel) can be awarded to certain foreign students.
Specialist Diplomas
The Global Partners MBA, diploma in partnership with Robinson College, Georgia State University of Atlanta (USA) and COPPEAD Business School,University of Rio (Brazil). This diploma, taught through the medium of English, will take place in each of the three countries associated with the programme, and also in Beijing and Shanghaï (conferences and company visits). - The International MBA Programme, this course, given in English, is directed at non-French-speaking, or completely bilingual candidates wishing to acquire an additional management qualification. - MBA International , Renault Foundation is organised in partnership with the University Paris-Dauphine, and the Fondation d'entreprise Renault for Japanese, Korean and Brasilian candidates with qualifications from the best universities.
The Diplomas in Sites Abroad
The MASTER ‘s in Company Administration: This Paris IAE diploma is organised in Beijing (China) on a full-time basis open to Chinese students who finish the course with a period of work experience in a company in France. This programme in organised in China by the Peking University of International Commerce and has as partners in France the FNEGE, other Higher Education establishments of Consular Management or Universities and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Some 50 students follow the course each year. - The DESUP International Affairs option « Management and Strategy » is offered as an extra year of training to students from the University of Minsk in Belarus. -The International Paris MBA, the first combined University qualification awarded by both the IAE University Paris 1 and the University Paris-Dauphin, operates at the moment with the University Saint-Joseph of Beirut, the University Aïn Shams of Cairo, in Turkey in Senegal with the CESAG (African Centre for Higher Management Studies) of Dakar, in Morocco with the HEM School, in Algeria with MDI , in Tunisia with the HEC and in Mauritius for Indian ocean. This Diploma combines Distance Learning with physical attendance.
